PEGI ratings summarised with examples.
PEGI ratings:
Pegi 3: no sounds or images that may frighten or harm children, no foul language, suitable for all ages.
Example: farming simulator ‘25.
Explanation: simple farming game, no implied violence (except possible workplace incidents).
Pegi 7: some content which may frighten or harm children, either implied, non-detailed, or non-realistic violence.
Example: asphalt legends: unite.
Explanation: implied violence against humans in the form of the destruction of opposing vehicles.
Pegi 12: slightly graphic violence towards fantasy characters or non-realistic violence to humanoid characters allowed, some sexual innuendos, mild language.
Example: league of legends.
Explanation: non-realistic violence towards fantasy characters, fantasy weapons.
Pegi 16: realistic violence/sexual content, bad language, tobacco, and drug usage allowed.
Example: TEKKEN 8.
Explanation: use of realistic physical violence towards human-like characters.
Pegi 18: violence fully allowed, tobacco/drug usage glamorized, gambling, explicit sexual activity allowed.
Example: call of duty modern warfare 3.
Explanation: heavy violence, large variety of weapons, large amount of swearing/foul language.
