UI and HUD across the FPS genre: 

Shared features: 

  • Ammunition count. 
  • Remaining health. 
  • Weapons/abilities. 

 

Differences: 

Game 1: Team Fortress 2. 

  • Cartoonishly stylized. 
  • Coloured to symbolize teams. 
  • Character model changes to reflect the weapon currently equipped. 

 

Game 2: Battlefield 1. 

  • Digital/angular UI. 
  • Balance of power at top of screen. 
  • Small popup displays loadout, and the buttons needed to equip certain weapons. 

 

Game 3: Star Wars Battlefront (the EA version). 

  • Sci-fi inspired UI. 
  • Round/circular ability icons. 
  • Hologram inspired displays.
